This is take out only restaurant, which is why I rated atmosphere a 3! I ordered beef with hot peppers and it was very flavorful. This was my first time ordering from Uncle Chens, but it definitely won’t be my last !

I would die a happy man if I were to be crushed by a mountain of the crab rangoons at this place. Always slaps, and the portions on the dishes are pretty great too. Quintessential drunk (or sober) downtown food.

I love Uncle Chen's and have literally been going for a decade now haha I have since moved and really miss it when I am gone too long. When I get back into town, first night back is usually Uncle Chen's takeout night. I highly recommend it. Been eating there for years and feel that these reviews don't do justice to how kind the staff has been for years. Hearing people complain about over hour wait for food you didn't leave the house for kinda drives me nuts. I worked in restaurants for years and deliveries are all ordered round the same lunch/dinner time... and the drivers get loaded up. I thought that is the trade off for not leaving your home to get it? I ate here for over a decade, never got food poinsoning or found a hair (in response to other reviews). I love visiting this place. It does get slammed on busy downtown/campus events. I recommend just going to pick up if you can, or ordering delivery not during peak hours & ahead of when you want it to give the people working hard to get your food time to get your food thru traffic and other orders to your doorstep <3 Thank you Uncle Chen's for years of comforting food and memories! I had an issue last night, they chose to respond immediately and correct it. Offering a refund or a re fire. Most short order late night restaurants do not care about what feedback they receive, I’m extremely grateful! I recommend them to anyone looking for an authentic quality experience delivered right to your door. Everyone makes mistakes, it’s the people who own and correct them that differ from the rest. Keep rocking it out chefs!
